Marin-county based Stonebridge Financial Group adds services to support evolving financial services industry needs and adds Nora Clifford to financial services team.
RAFAEL, Calif., Sept. 16, 2019 — Stonebridge Financial Group announces new focus on women’s financial needs and adds Wall Street career veteran Nora Clifford to the executive team of financial professionals. As the financial services industry evolves, the founders of Stonebridge Financial Group are committed to providing wealth management services tailored to clients’ changing financial needs, including the rapidly increasing role of women in financial decisions and investing.
According to an April, 2019 article in the Financial Times titled, “Do women really make better investors than men?” the answer is yes - women invest less than men but perform better. The author cites various studies, which may explain the reason that women don’t invest, focusing on the lack of high-profile female investors in a male-dominated industry.1
“At Stonebridge Financial Group, we are keenly aware of the importance of women in finance, both as personal investors and as fund-managers. According to recent studies, 96% of women have primary or shared control of family financial decisions and by 2020, women-controlled wealth in North America will reach $22 trillion2,” noted Stonebridge Financial Group principal Blair Martin, “We are excited to add Nora to our team, as she has exceptional experience and an acute understanding of the changing financial needs of anyone who is experiencing life transitions or planning for them.”
Clifford, Financial Consultant, CDFA (CA Insurance Lic #0M81352) brings more than two decades of experience in the financial services industry to Stonebridge Financial Group and will focus on women’s financial needs. In her new role, she will help clients analyze their existing holdings and develop more efficient, specialized, strategic portfolios based on life factors beyond their finances – such as divorce, retirement, college plans and aging parents.
“After going through my own divorce and realizing it was one of life’s biggest turning points, I decided to focus my practice in the area of divorce financial planning and obtain the (CDFA) Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation” Clifford noted of her decision to join Stonebridge Financial Group. “As I worked with clients, I saw the strong need for financial guidance tailored to life-changing events and women financial investors who focus on them.”
Stonebridge Financial Group was founded by three independent financial professionals each with independent skills, personality and insight, who collaborated to form a focused team of financial and insurance professionals.
